Kakoli: A case study documentary on reconstructive surgeries on the Emirates Friendship Hospital (EFH) Radio Television Luxembourg (RTL) has created a documentary about Emirates Friendship Hospital helping change the lives of the people it serves. It is a case study of a 9 years old girl named Kakoli who lives in the most remote and vulnerable regions in the world – the remote island of the Bramhaputra in Bangladesh. Like Kakoli, Friendship with the support of EFH and other valuable partners has successful changed the lives of many hundreds of children by providing them access to specialized, quality medical surgeries free of cost. Friendship Bangladesh Story Part 1: This is the story of the “gora nabik” (the “White Sailor”) Yves Marre, and his and Runa Khan Marre’s work on the preservation of traditional boats of Bangladesh. The video clip describes why Yves started his work in the preservation of traditional boats of Bangladesh, and also the Lifebuoy Friendship Hospital. The clips contains interviews of both Yves Marre and Runa Khan Marre as well, explaining their collaborative work and plans.
