Friendship welcomes the Rongdhonu in Chittagong
Published Date: August 29, 2011On 29th August 2011, Friendship welcomed Rongdhonu, the newest and third addition to its fleet in Marine Ghat Chittagong port. The ship will be converted into a floating hospital to be used to provide valuable primary, secondary and emergency healthcare to the vulnerable and marginalized population living in the coastal areas of Bangladesh. It was also an occasion for the foreign crew to bid farewell to the ship and the local crew to take over. Among the speakers at the occasion were Capt. Mike Fincken, who led the ship in the past, and Friendship’s Executive Director Runa Khan.
